All --
My apologies for having lost the original subject line; believe it was
something as to "loading Linux trashed my Win 98".
Anyway -- a post earlier today, recommended the xosl boot loader.
( http://www.xosl.org ) Up to today, was unaware of it; I'd just
been using LILO.
I just downloaded and installed it, in the Win 95 partition I continue to
maintain. Installed it on top of good ol' LILO.
What a *pleasant* exercise. A very smart, attractive GUI. Quite
customizable. Recognized everything (Win 95, Win NT, and Mdk 7 Linux)
immediately. Worked flawlessly.
To rephrase the NTLUG T-shirt: "Life is free.....Linux is good.....Plus,
it just works, reliably." (Although the last part -- it just works --
is, or may be, a trademark or somesuch, of a certain monopolistic racket
located in Washington State.)
