Another approach, depending upon what you are trying to do, is to switch
to Win4LIN from TreLOS.  It uses a MUCH smaller footprint than VMware
and works great all at a lower price.  For most business purposes it
does everything needed, even running quite well on an old laptop (amd
K6-2 333 with 64MB memory).  My needs are to run M$ Office and a couple
of other programs that haven't been ported to Linux (Yet...).
