Reeves--
(1.) I saw from your .sig that you must have finished college, and are
now with Loki. If so, congrats. I don't know much about them, but Loki
seems to be a leader in Linux gaming, apps. etc.
(2.) I don't have any official position with NTLUG. I'm not an
officer, Board member, etc. I'm just a lawyer who happens to subscribe
to this listserv. Other lawyer(s) do, too. If one of them has
different/ additional/ other thoughts, that's fine.
I'm reluctant to give out legal advice on an NTLUG issue, on a public
listserv.
I think this situation is the same as when it last came up on this list,
6 to 9 months ago. Back then, we were told the list had spam-traps in
place, to prevent postings by non-subscribers.
Surely, these people are not subscribers. If they are subscribers, maybe
someone should consider whether they ought to remain so. (Note: I'm not
familiar with what rules, if any, NTLUG has, about who can and can't
subscribe to the list, if/ when people can get removed from the list, for
what behavior, etc.)
If they are not subscribers, there must be some list glitch which is
permitting the messages to get through the spam traps.
