Ok, I'm stumped now. I'm trying to upgrade my version of gcc that came
with RedHat 6.1, but not sure where to start. I've got the tarball, and
the patches that are for gcc-m68k(since i'm trying to develop for the
Motorola Coldfire). I've read the HOWTO and from it, I gather that you
are supposed to run configure, then make it, then install it. Am I
right so far?
I run configure, but when I try to do a make, it get a an error message
about version.c and I can no longer do 'gcc -dumpversion' to get which
version i'm running. Before it was egcs 2.91.something.
Help!
Don
