Assuming your kernel has the "proc" filesystem enabled
you should cat /proc/interrupts and /proc/ioports to
see what is where! Also, if you have an old /var/log/messages.?
from before you installed the modem you may be able to see
what interrupt you NIC *was* using. Finally, you need to
make sure that the "on board" comm1 is disabled in the bios.
