All you should have to do to make a boot disk for a computer is change from 'make bklilo' to 'make bzdisk' if you just want to compile the kernel on one machine, then put it on another that is already running, just copy the compressed image to floppy, then to other machine.

As a note, I have only made boot disks for the same computer, not for others. I am sure it would require some editing of something on the disk if the HD setup changes from one to another.....
