        Around here we tout both SuSE and Mandrake as being excellent for
beginners.

        A lot of SuSE and ManDrake rpms work on each other.

        All one can do is try it and see.

        AFAIK all RPMS with noarch in the name will work on all distros.  I
wish they were all "noarch"
