[NTLUG:Discuss] Explore2fs -- Windows reads Linux partitions

I'm sorry, but -- that's hilarious. My windows has written into my linux
partitions without any such encouragement!

Another little trick you could try is the zipdrive driver. It calmly (quietly)
mounts linux partitions and will blithely write over them if you tell it to.

I would keep the explore2fs if you can mount it read-only.

Bad experience tonight with this program. This evening, I
tried_writing_onto the Linux partition, using this program from Windows.
(The program gives numerous warnings that writing to Linux is highly
experimental, and risky.) All seemed to go well. Then, on rebooting
into Linux to see the results, multiple error messages, and totally
unable to boot into Linux. Result? Looks like I'll need to entirely
reinstall the Linux system. Ouch! Thank goodness I have my data backed
up. I think this is a program I'll remove from my computer, promptly.
