Depending on how your original version of Netscape was installed you may
want to install from something other than a tarball. If you are running
RedHat you probably installed NS when you installed Linux. If that is
the case then you should find the latest Netscape RPM. If you use any
other method to install or upgrade you will loose the information in the
RPM database making it difficult to use an RPM for that package in the
future. Since RPM tracks dependencies and installed files, it is a good
way to keep software up to date. Other systems (Debian for instance) use
other methods to manange installed software. So, RTM for other distros.
