 IMHO, for graphics included in LaTeX, the best solution is xfig.
Try 'n use it!

CorelDraw is huge and not worth to cope with it in your special case. If
you desperately need it, play with it, but it is just a windows program
hacked to work with Wine, eating up lots of memory ...
