[NTLUG:Discuss] Multiple IP's on a NIC

Truly odd. I am using ifconfig v1.39 also. Hmmph.

However, trying your suggestion of ifconfig eth0:0 0.0.0.0 works very well.
Both ifconfig -a and a ping test both confirm the ip has gone away.

Not sure why down, etc. doesn't work like expected, but now I have a
workaround. Perhaps there is something funny going on with the 3com NIC
driver?? Oh well. At least now I have a working solution.

Thanks, all!
