In the Sun. 10/15/2000 Dallas Morning News, Bob Miller's Business column
announces that Linus Torvalds,   and others, have been named "Laureates"
of the Dallas-based Kilby Awards Foundation.  The Foundation is  
apparently a local group which was formed to honor Dallas' Jack St.Clair
Kilby, who received the Nobel Prize   last week, for his co-invention of
the integrated circuit while an employee at Texas Instruments.  
Unfortunately, the Kilby Foundation's website is completely absent of any
info. about the awards, or awards  ceremony, as of this afternoon (Sun.)
