How new is the file?  I just installed the Mandrake 7.1 dist and it's
got a tulip.o that I assume was built off the tulip.c on the distrib,
v0.91g-ppc 7/16/99.  If yours is newer are these the same available from
the cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/...... site?

In looking through tulip.c is appears that my vendor id (0x1317) is
listed but not the device id (0x985).  I'd speculate this is the
problem.
