But I think I've told it not to use it's internal drivers...I certainly didn't
ever tell it what kind of printer I have...so I'd be suprised if it would print
at all with internal drivers.

I told it to print with "Passthru Postscript at lp"...so I presume it's sending
color postscript commands via the regular Linux printer driver (which uses
Ghostscript to turn that into Canon BJC-7000 commands).

I suppose so.    :-(

The list of drivers in WP doesn't include any recent Canon printers though...
perhaps there are some others out on the web.  My printer is kinda obscure
though - so I'm not hopeful.

Good idea - I'll try that. <time passes> ...nope!  It's still monochrome.

In fact, if I do "Save As..." and select Postscript, it comes out monochrome.

I'm guessing that it just doesn't *have* color Postscript support.  :-(
