[NTLUG:Discuss] Netscape 6

I have and it works okay. I have a beef with Netscape in general and I am
expecting some of the up-and-coming gnome stuff to address that problem.
But Netscape takes FOREVER to load!! I'm running a P2-450 with 128+32MB
PC100 RAM. From first click until final load must take more than 45
seconds! I never timed it because I get bored watching nothing happen
except drive lights blinking. It's embarassing as well because people look
up to me as network administrator and bringer of new and better
technologies.

I'm running redhat 7.0 stock+fixes. It looks nice over-all but I haven't
tried everything that interests me yet. I like the skins thing but I am
looking forward to the gnome/gtk answer to utilizing Mozilla. It has GOT to
be faster especially since Nautilus is supposed to use Mozilla as well
(hence having much of the libraries loaded into memory in advance). (This
is how MSIE seems to be so fast loading-- the components in the browser are
the same as in the explorer shell...they are already loaded into memory.)

My main beef is load time. I also hate the annoying ties to AOL and
Netcenter. All of those annoyances will disappear with the Mozilla+Gnome
offerings. Wish they would hurry up though. :)
