[NTLUG:Discuss] Oracle install fails on eServer 2.3

Has anyone successfully installed Oracle 8.1.6 on Caldera eServer 2.3? I
get the following error when attempting to run the install script. The Java
appears to be okay, as I do see the _loading_ dialog box just before the
following error. But then, the error could concern the JRE.

bash$ cd /auto/cdrom
bash$ ls
doc  index.htm  install  rr_moved  runInstaller  stage  starterdb
bash$
bash$
bash$ ./runInstaller
bash$ Initializing Java Virtual Machine from ../stage/Components/oracle.swd.jre.
SIGSEGVdump crashed

Any help s appreciated.
