This may sound silly, but can you re-size the display with the monitors
controlls?? If not, You may want to try xvidtune. I do not know if it
comes with suse, but it will help you get the right lines to put in the
config file. Last, but not least, try sax2. I think that is in suse7.0 and
it will convert your XF86 over to version 4. Note, no xvidtune for version
4 AFAIK.
