If you use forwarding mechanism, you can view the fax using your GUI mail
reader (i.e. Netscape).

Edit the /etc/mgetty+sendfax/faxlist file and insert the following to your
taste:

# This is the faxlist.
#
# Not corresponding entries are separated with a blank line
# Other blank lines are ignored
# Lines starting with # are comments and also ignored
#
# Syntax Description
# ------------------
# id [substring]        Substring of ID for the next lines
# name name             Name for mail or notifications
# mail e-mail           Send a notification via email
# notify user at domain    Send a notification via email
# print [printer]       Print the fax on this printer
# fax [number]          Forward fax to given number
# compress              compress fax into archive
# write [username(s)]   inform by tty write of incoming
# D                     Delete faxes after
#

write steve root faxadmin
mail john at doe.com
mail jane at doe.com
mail johndoe at yahoo.com
archive /var/spool/fax/archive
