Carter,

You can place this information in the /etc/sysconfig/network file and it will
be read upon bootup.  You just need to add a line like:

            GATEWAY=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

to that file and you should be all set.

You should also check the
/etc/sysconfig/network/network-scripts/ifcfg-<interface> file to make sure all
the settings are correct there as well.
