I've bought my PC Card stuff from a web-tailer that
has better prices than I've found locally.
(NOTE: These are mostly reconditioned, but since
linux compatibility is designed after products are on
the market, the longer it's been available the better
the chances it will work in linux.)

3com 10mbps cards ~23.00
3com 10mbps network/33.6 modem cards 37.00
Check your favorite distro for 3com model numbers
supported before you shop. My 3C 589d is listed in
SuSe's network card directory. However, my laptop
doesn't have a CD-ROM, and I don't have DSL (yet,) so
I haven't been able to test it in linux.
