So far I haven't had much trouble, once I setup samba to broadcast out
with samba.  I just set the smb.conf with the domain setup that they
config'd originally in windows, and I was good to go.  If you have 
an internal domain (like I do) it does mess that up for connecting
to the linux box, but it allows you to run NAT and other fun things.

Did you have your smb.conf set with the @home domain and hostname ?
