Linux will handle either case equally well.

You don't mention what distribution you have (RedHat, Debian, etc).

If RedHat, then on the CD there are 2 directories.  /images and
/utilities.  The /images directory has floppy disk images for booting.
The /utilities has dos utilities for making the floppy disks.
