Corel is one of the easiest distributions to install and is targetted
towards the desktop user.

It is easier to use on the machine with no OS if you can boot with the CD.
Otherwise you need to install dos (with a floppy and CD drivers) and make
a linux boot floppy from the CD. Then use the boot floppy for
installation. Also thete is a file called autoboot.bat on the CD which can
start the installation from DOS prompt.

It is difficult to install if Windows is already there but it's
possible. You can resize the Win partition using partition magic or GNU
parted. Then install using loadlin (on the CD) or by directly booting with
CD if possible.
