In case it matters, Corel has discontinued its Linux distribution. Assuming 
they did not mess with the Debian update tools, the updates would be 
straight Debian ones.

Quite a few people have cautioned me to avoid Red Hat 7.0 as being buggy. 
However, I haven't tried it so I don't have personal experience.

I do have several boxes running the Red Hat-based Mandrake distribution, 
and find the install to be simple. Its autodetect is the best I have yet 
seen in Linux.

My favorite still has to be SuSE for depth of coverage. I'm going out today 
to buy their 7.1 version, which is based upon the 2.4 kernel.
