I second that. I don't usually get into advocating one distro over another.
I have installed and used most of them at one point in time or another.
I have many years of experience with Caldera, going back to their very first
beta release. I must say that I found  their latest releases to be very
smooth. Upgrading to eDesktop 2.4 from the prior version was as easy as
popping the CD in, copying the upgrade script to / , changing to single-user
runlevel (1) and running the script as root. It all worked */flawlessly/*.

I can't say the same for their Linux Technology Preview (LTP): it was rough!

Caldera may not be as cutting-edge as some other distros. They intend it that
way on purpose. The overall quality control is however, IMHO above average.
SuSe, RH, Debian, et. al. will all have their champions, and indeed they all
have their own sets of advantages as well as disadvantages, so let's not start
a religous war here. I'm just giving a personal nod to Caldera for producing
some nicely polished products in the eDesktop 2.4 and eServer 2.3.
