Well, there doesn't seem to be a 'fsck.msdos', 'fsck.umsdos' or
'fsck.vfat' - so I doubt that you could attempt to repair it using
fsck under Linux - which would have been my first guess. (Some
people would argue that if you use Word, you are already pretty
well fsck'ed...but that would be cruel and off-topic :-)

I guess you need a 'disk doctor' program for Win95 to try to repair
it there - then if it succeeds, *immediately* copy the files to a new
floppy before you do *anything* else!

...since I havn't actually used Windoze since *well* before Win95
appeared on the scene, I'm not gonna be much help from here on
in - and you may well be on the wrong mailing list to get good
answers!
