The New Newbie Site:

1.	Snapshots of different desktops to prove that it’s just as “pretty” as
Windows

2.	Basic System administration issues:
a.	Hard disk management
b.	software RAIDS
c.	backing up and restoring your system
d.	automating administrative tasks
e.	…a few more will be added later
f.	plus access to my beginner’s approach to Linux administration

3.	Dual-booting and popular emulators
a.	VMWARE
b.	Wine
c.	And another one that I can’t think of right now…

4.	Business applications:
a. GNUCash or Moneydance
b.	StarOffice, and possibly AbiWord later

5.	Graphic applications:
a.	GIMP
b.	Blender

6.	Fun Topics
a.	Xmms Cd rippers and encoders
b.	Gnapster
c.	Various free video games
d.	Linux version of MIRC

All these applications and such will only be covered to the extent of
installation techniques (RPM’s, compiling source, or setup executables), and
it will cover the basic use of them with references for more help.

Also, the basics about Linux, such as basic commands, structure and such
will also be covered.

All items will also refer to the corresponding HOW-TO’s for more in-depth
look at the relative topics

I will work on this stuff as fast as I can, but right now I’m trying to pass
my A+ certification, so I can get a better tech job. Since the evil
LinuxGruven.com went under, I have had to start over with my IT career
approach. My current goal is to finish all this by the end of July. If you
would like it done sooner, feel free to contact me and let me know which
topic I may sub-assign you. I’m exciting about doing this as it will help
learn about the practical use of Linux.

See you later,
-Micky
