Richard,

I read somewhere that the latest BIND automatically uses the primary group for the account specified in -u.  If you do get the chroot working, would you post how you do it?

As for the nslookup thing ... well, I am going to have to let someone else go there, as I have not found a good reason for the change.  Its been said that the nslookup interface is arcane and not friendly.  I dunno, works for me.  Other real complaint I have with nslookup is it reversing the server IP; just seems extraneous to me.
