AH I didn't understand that was how the source.rpms worked. That was the
functionality I *SHOULD* have been looking for. I was expecting the source
rpms to extract the source files to a location in preparation for me to
compile them. (sort-of like an automated gunzip/tar -xvf feature)
ok...so I have lots to learn...

oh I don't think I'll be building RPMs anytime soon..

BTW, compiling manually is working GREAT so far! I sure am grateful to
Slackware for that good 'ol practice doing things the manual way! :)
