Hope someone can help me out on a problem that I
am having with IP masquerading and FTP.  I have a "weird"
network setup so bear with me while I describe it:

Windows 98 SE PC (192.168.1.4) connected to

RedHat Linux 5.2 (192.168.1.1 on eth0) using IP masquerading &
ip_masq_ftp
and forwarding to (192.168.2.100 on eth1) connected to

RedHat Linux 7.0 (192.168.2.1 on eth1) using IP masquerading &
ip_masq_ftp
and forwarding to (pppoe/DSL on eth0) connected to the internet.

If I try to FTP from the Windows 98 PC thru both Linux PC's to the
internet,
I wind up timing out on any large (over about 2K) file transfers. Small
files
work OK.

If I try to FTP from the RedHat 5.2 PC thru the RedHat 7.0 PC all file
transfers
work OK.

I think it might have to do with running thru the ip_masq_ftp program on
both
Linux boxes but I'm really not sure.
