[NTLUG:Discuss] Anyone tried Zope?

Quick question:

What are your opinions on the performance and usability of Zope from 
Zope.org in creating a dynamic website?


Longer question with background:

Right now we have over 4,000 objects being served by Apache. All of it 
is static. It is getting very hard to maintain the site. Additionally, 
we'd like to expand the site considerable, perhaps ten times the content.

We'd like to move to dynamic content and Zope appears promising. But 
before we go jumping into the deep end, I'd sure appreciate opinions 
from people who have used it? What about other, competing solutions? Are 
there performance problems with Zope? We are going to put it on a 
dedicated server that I picked up used from a closed business (it was 
never actully used).

Dual Pentium II 333
512 MB RAM
SCSI Hardware RAID with 32MB Cache
4x9GB Seagate Cheetah HDs

This is feeding a T1 where most of the traffic comes from the site I'm 
thinking of moving to Zope.

If you don't like Zope, can you suggest an alternative?
