Someone advocated August.net - so I just surfed over to their site and
see this:

    Note: Due to changes in SWBell's business practices we will no longer accept
    SWBell DSL customers starting August 1, 2001. Our quality service and
    performance will continue unchanged for our existing SWBell customers and we
    will, of course, be pleased to provide new service for customers fortunate enough
    to be in Verizon's local service area.
