What they just told me is that they are looking for a company to take
over the dsl service. If they've NOT found someone to do this, they will
be sending letters to current customers 30 days in advance of their
shutdown date.

While this is far from an ideal situation, it seems more reasonable and
business-like than just shutting the doors and disappearing into the
night.
