[NTLUG:Discuss] WEIRD ftp problem

several days ago, i began to have trouble ftping to my webserver at
verio form here in the office.

downloads worked fine, small file uploads worked fine, but anything over
about 100K would start up, then just stop in the middle.

trying to solve the problem i've: (1) installed an new wu-ftps rpm, (2)
also installed ftpdpro as an alternative and just this afternoon, after
255 days of uptime, did a ./network reload and finally, severl hours ago
a re-boot.

still having the problem.

what's TRULY weird is that inbound ftp seems to work from linux machines
- one here in my office, another server at rackspace in sanantonio and
another server in my cabinet. but windoze clients (of all sorts) seem to
hang, and not all of them.

this is REALLY beginning to effect some of my major customers'
operations.

has anyone ever heard of anything like this?

just call me 'totally baffled in keller'
