I am on the ATT @home in Carrollton Tx. I have a RCA DCM235 Cable modem. I
know the -f is flooding, but it is the only way I can duplicate the problem,
without finding a large file on the net to download.for those who have
missed my previous posts, I have two machines, 3 Ips on the @home network.
When I am in windows, I have no problems. When I boot my laptop to Linux
(Redhat 7.1) After about 5 minutes, or if I download a large file, I lose
the connection on the cable modem, and have to manually reset it. I recently
installed Redhat 7.1. Before that I was running 7.0 and did not have this
problem. It never happens in Windows. I am not sure if it happens with my
pc, I will test it here in a minute. Ok, I did a ping -f
www.patrickparks.com, and I had no lockup or problems. BTW any
recommendations on e-mail program for Linux? Have not had much luck with
Star Office. Thanks
