[NTLUG:Discuss] Cable Modem Blues (also DSL)

I too am having "bandwidth" related failures on my DSL. Large
downloads (or uploads) are causing my connection to fail. I don't
know for sure what is causing them, but they are always preceeded
by a lot of error messages (from /var/log/messages) of the type:

pppd[823]: Protocol-Reject for unsupported protocol XXXXX
pppoe[824]: Bogus PPPoE length field

I am running pppoe on RedHat 7.0. Other configuration info
can be found in the attachment to this message.

Besides the failures, I'm a bit concerned that all RX packets
on ppp0 appear to be generating frame errors.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

George
