[NTLUG:Discuss] change terminal colors

Linux is not SCO. (thank gawd)

Linux is an open source kernel. Linux distributions are combination of
applications that work with that kernel. Most of the apps are developed by
different sets of developers from all over the globe. Technically, the
colors are really handles by the terminal program, not the OS, or the app,
but the app has to tell the terminal what color to use.

I am sorry I am not aware of a way to set the color of all apps, since all
apps use different colors for different things. I personally like being
able to set the color on each app to mean what I want, which to me is more
configurable than having to use the same color set for every app.
