Cheaper but less - Linksys DSL/Cable router/firewall gives you a 100Mbs
"hub" for your "Intranet" in the bargain - prices vary depending on how
many ports you buy.
Where I stop recommending Linksys is when you want to do anything
complex, or run servers, which I don't do at home.
