This is Chris Cox (one of the many who did not respond to the email never
received).
I'm replying from MS Outlook 2000 running on Windows 2000. Ever since I
came
to Sterling Commerce (over 5 weeks ago), I've been reading my messages using
MS Outlook (my Linux configuration is not yet ready). We are running
Exchange
and a whole host of other MS specific protocols. I have absolutely NO
problem
reading (or replying) mail from any of the NTLUG mailing lists.
I realize that you are frustrated because your administration staff cannot
seem
to configure their software to understand SMTP format. My guess is that
somehow
they are wrappering emails coming in prior to sending them on.... and that
the
wrapper makes an assumption about some kind of Microsoft specific set of
headers. But that is only a guess.
I can assure you that MS-Outlook2000 can view, read, reply, etc. messages
coming
from NTLUG....I am in fact doing so right NOW. I am sorry that it has
appeared
to be an issue with anyone associated with NTLUG.
Regards,
Chris

As you (ntlug.org) cannot seem to get emails to me in a format
MS-Outlook2000 can view, I have to ask you to remove me from the emailing
list. I have been asking for assistance for months, and only received a few
emails in attempt to resolve the issue (thanks to Rick Cook for what he has
done). I responded to all visible emails, all non-visible emails were
replied to with "this is yet another blank email". I have been doing my part
to resolve the issue, and you have not (dropped the ball/disregarded the
issue without notification).
I still cannot even begin to fathom how, one person can send to me from
ntlug.org, and another cannot.
I can not and will not recommend this to others, unless you give a concerted
attempt resolve the issue.
sorry,
john
