These two are pretty Linux-related to me. So, according to you
"I'm trying to get Samba installed in my department as a file and print
share but am having troubles connecting the Windows98 clients"
is not Linux related? That the answer is install "Linux on those
machines too." ?

I'm at the newbie level, but I always thought the point of Linux
communities were to help others learn and share ideas about Linux. If
the person wants to participate in a Linux discussion but can't, I'd try
to help him out. It would be shame if nobody else felt the same.

I'm sure a lot of people have a decent amount of experience in other
OSs. That is one of its strengths, its ability to play well with the
other children. Presumably, this is true of its users.

Well, ok, he is a boob for these two, and the attitude of his post to
the public list is enough to warrant no help at all. Still, I find the
"100% Linux and nothing but Linux" attitude to be odd for a Linux community.
