Try a rpm -Uhv /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/gcc3*.rpm

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] gcc 3.0-6

I downloaded 'gcc3-3.0-6.src.rpm' and performed a 'rpm -rebuild'. The
'rpm -rebuild' completed with no real error messages but the new gcc rev
was not installed on the computer as I expected. What was installed was
a directory '/usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386' that contained several gcc3 rpm
files. When I perform a 'rpm -Fvh *.rpm' on these files, nothing
happens. I get no error messages and gcc3.0 is not installed. Has
anyone else experienced a similar issue with installing gcc 3.0?

Scott
