Yes - but that's what actually comes down the phone line.  I presume that
the caller ID interface box that our friend here is trying to interface
to is going to decode all that stuff into a simple RS-232 stream.  It's
quite possible that it also sends it out at a higher baud rate and with a
different protocol to the data it listens to from the phone line.
