[NTLUG:Discuss] Noise

I do not intend to start a flame-war in this wonderful and informative
mailing list but the amount of repeated information here has gotten
much higher as of late. I always under the assumption that for reasons
of courtesy, bandwidth and storage requirements... mailing list
entries should be submitted with prior message text paired down to the
relevant information and also be submitted in plain-text, not HTML.
Most mailing lists with an FAQ and the the general internet documents
state this universally. I receive serveral mailing lists and this one
is by far the worst.

I sincerely submit this in hopes of improving the list content. I get
the batched-version of this mailing list and this probably makes it
more annoying than getting individual messages, with most of the noise
off the screen. Many times I actually have trouble determining which
is the new information hidden within all the repeats. Hate to think
about what this is doing to anyone archiving it, downloading it to
their PDA, or using a braille reader. The HTML is especially bad for
this noise but as you can see from the consecutive lines below from
the last batch sent, it is not the only issue and it is not something
related to a single individual.
