Hi Chris and Fred:

I don't know if this was bad practice or what, but during my time in school
learning Solaris, we were always told to use sleep and nice to keep processes
going on sunboxen.  I also do not recall anyone telling us that this was the
way Sun did things and that was what we had to deal with, but that turns out
