[NTLUG:Discuss] Offline mail in Netscape 6.1

First, you really should avoid running as root, especially while
connected to the Internet in any way.
Second, my experience with Netscape on Linux would indicate that
Netscape doesn't treat the root user the same way it treats the ordinary
user.

Please try this:
(1) Create a new user for yourself.
(2) Login as yourself.
(3) Set up Netscape for yourself.
(4) Try again - I think you will like the results better.

I run Netscape 6.1 on Red Hat Linus 7.1, set up as suggested above, and
I am not experiencing problem you have outlined.

Hope this helps.
