I didn't make the post... however I will warn that the SNMP management
used by some switches causes grief for routers and other switches which come
from a different manufacturer.  I know for a fact that certain Bay Networks
(dead nowadays of course) and Cisco equipment did not get along.

I would think that if someone advertised their hub as a switch... well... they'd
be in pretty serious trouble.
