[NTLUG:Discuss] Linux Friendly DSL

Has anyone on this list experienced both DSL and Cable hi-speed Internet
service? Can anyone give me a basic comparison?

I currently have Cable through AT&T Broadband (AT&T at Home), but would be
interested in knowing alternatives. I have not experienced and problems
so far, but then I don't use @Home for my web site or my email, just
connectivity. I have tried for DSL before and I seem to be some 4,000
feet too far from the CO so this may be a moot point, but I'd like to
know anyway. I have posted a query with www.directvdsl.com to see what
they say.
TIA to any respondents.
