[NTLUG:Discuss] How do I connect up a domain name to my IP address?

I don't have much time, so here is a couple of tips.

Now that you have purchased your domain name, you need
someone to host it. That means the information must reside in
a domain name server. Some of the Registry services, such as
regirstry.com allow you to use their DNS. If you are unable
to use them, then you might go to granitecanyon.com. It is a
public DNS server.
