[NTLUG:Discuss] Help needed on Kernel Upgrade

Greetings.

I am in servere need of some assistance in upgrading my Linux Kernel on my laptop.  I am missing something (probably obvious to someone who has done this a few 
times) in my attempts to upgrade, causing the Kernel to not load all of the modules.

ANY assistance would be appreciated, and for teaching me how to do this, your time would be compensated (lunch/dinner and/or cash).  I will be in my office most 
of today and tommorrow (see sig), or can be reached on my cell at 214-724-7741.  If am guessing 1-2 hours should be more than adequate.
