Certainly the 'ogle' player that I installed uses raw access - and it works
just fine. I was just a little suprised to see disk errors. Since I intend
to get the next version of SuSE on DVD-ROM, I'm obviously concerned if there
is some kind of hardware problem here.

Hmmm - OK - then it's probably nothing to worry about.
I'll borrow a data-only DVD-ROM from someone and see if I get errors with that.

Well, indeed - it's hardly the end of the world. It's nice that 'ogle' plays
DVD's OK and providing I can 'mount' the drive and read data-DVD's OK, I'm
happy.
